Who are foster parents?

Foster parents are people from all walks of life who volunteer their time 24 hours a day, seven days a week to care for children who need a temporary place to call home.

"Anyone can become a foster parent," says Sheli Steil, a caseworker with Alberta Children and Youth Services.
